Zero Energy Institute is an engineering company offering clients fully integrated solutions in three primary areas, Methane Sequestration, Renewable Energy and Zero Energy Structures.  Our clients not only reduce their carbon footprint, but save money with power purchase agreements, carbon credit offsets and revenue generated from the sale of clean green hydrogen.

• Methane Sequestration.  Using proven low temperature fuel cell technology, we capture and process methane from landfills, digesters and coal mines and convert a gas that is often flared into the atmosphere into  electricity, green hydrogen, heat and valuable carbon credits.

Renewable Energy.  Our commercial and residential renewable energy consulting services help our clients understand how to maximize their wind, solar or geothermal resource into practical renewable energy systems that make sense for the environment and the bottom line.

Low Energy Homes & Structures.  We are passionate about cost effective solutions to creating zero energy homes and commercial buildings.   Design of our eleventh and twelfth EnergyStar home has started with a goal of reducing annual energy consumption by 80%.  Both of these homes will likely be Passive House certified as well.  Our pilot net zero energy home site has been identified and will include wind, solar thermal, solar photovoltaic and micro-hydro systems resulting in an annual energy requirement of zero.  With a continued focus on designs and building techniques  that are cost competitive with traditional approaches, our zero energy homes don’t break the bank.
