Architectural Design Build is the vision and realization of a dream to design exceptional residences by Seth A. Spiller.   Mr. Spiller's approach to architectural design blends the art of architecture and the energy of placement found in Feng Shui with technologically advanced systems, energy efficient construction and a respect for our environment. . 

Mr. Spiller graduated from the school of Electrical Engineering at the University of Maine in 1986 and started a design and construction company focused on Victorian home restoration and condominium conversion.  He moved on to space panning and design of electronic and electro-mechanical marine systems for mega-yachts in West Palm Beach Florida.  In 1994 he was a worldwide wireless systems integration consultant and project manager to Fortune 100 corporations.   As a continuing student of architecture, Mr. Spiller has created a solid foundation built on the knowledge of real world issues and the nuances of materials and best practice construction methods.    Projects include the modernization of period homes with a sensitivity to historical appeal, space conscience additions for bungalow designs and site and building planning for commercial and ocean front compounds.

Mr. Spiller produces all documents by digital production methods, building his designs exclusively within the virtual space of the computer.  Mr. Spiller is fully committed to providing each Client and project with the best quality and design leadership possible. Projects follow the Six Phase Delivery process starting with a careful understanding of the Client's objectives, budget and time line. This initial input enables multiple design solutions to be created in order to best address the Client's needs and vision. The design concepts are presented by 2D and 3D computer generated drawings, models and animations using AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, SoftPlan and other computer aided design tools.   Advanced computer technology allows the Client to understand and experience all pertinent information during the design process. Mr. Spiller is capable of meeting his Client's objectives with the highest standards of professional service and architectural excellence.  Through the use of Feng Shui, building orientation and living space placement is aligned, when possible, with their surroundings to create a harmony that is "designed into" the structure.  Building systems include electrical, audio, video, wired and wireless communications, remote systems control, lighting, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, fire protection, plumbing and structural systems.  He will also work with Clients to incorporate alternative energy systems including solar, wind, hydro and geothermal to create spaces that are both beautiful and efficient to operate and maintain.  Green building techniques where possible can help maintain our environment yet still delivery outstanding structural integrity.

Mr. Spiller's experience with electro-mechanical systems designed for large yachts and some of the harshest environmental conditions possible, has provided the engineering training that is essential to the design, installation and commission of advanced systems to ultimately provide comfort and safety in the built environment.  An environmentally sound approach to home design not only reduces operating costs but acknowledges the need to address global climate changes, sustainability and energy conservation. Mr. Spiller's design and research focus is on the use of architectural techniques that by design conserve energy, on building form and fabric, on  the use of natural lighting, ventilation and automated systems to create a healthy, comfortable and efficient indoor environment.
